In a deeply sacred and symbolic event, the J&K Dharmarth Trust today celebrated the Punar Sthapana (reinstallation) of Shree Nandi Ji at the historic Shree Ranbireshwar Temple in Jammu. The ceremony marked a momentous occasion for the devotees and the temple’s heritage, reflecting the Trust\u2019s ongoing commitment to preserving and restoring important cultural and religious landmarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The reinstallation ceremony was honored by the presence of prominent dignitaries including Vikramaditya Singh, former Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) and scion of the Dogra Royal Family; Martand Singh and Ranvijay Singh, Trustees of the J&K Dharmarth Trust; and other esteemed Council Members including Dr. Vishwa Murti Shastri, S M Sahni (former Director of Tourism, Jammu), Vishal Abrol, Brig (Retd) R S Langeh (Trust President), and Ashok Kumar Sharma (IPS Retd, Secretary of the Trust).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The auspicious event began with a traditional Hawan Yagya, followed by the reinstallation of Shree Nandi Ji with elaborate rituals. The ceremony was performed under the guidance of Vikramaditya Singh, who led the rituals with reverence and dedication. The rituals culminated in a grand Aarti dedicated to Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati, held in the main temple complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Students from the Shri Ranbir Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya Birpur, managed by the J&K Dharmarth Trust, actively participated in the event, seeking blessings and contributing to the celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A significant highlight of the ceremony was the special mention of Chairman Trustee Dr. Karan Singh\u2019s efforts. Dr. Singh had arranged for an exact replica of the earlier Nandi Ji from Tamil Nadu to ensure the preservation of the temple\u2019s heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his address to the gathering, Vikramaditya Singh expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in the restoration project. He particularly acknowledged the contributions of Subash Chander, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva, whose efforts were instrumental in the reinstallation of Shree Nandi Ji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vikramaditya Singh also took the opportunity to update attendees on the Trust\u2019s recent restoration initiatives. He spoke about the successful renovation of the ancient Gauri Shankar Temple in Pahalgam and the ongoing work at the Shiv Temple in Gulmarg, which had suffered significant damage due to an electrical short circuit. Additionally, he highlighted the completion of the restoration of the Rani Samadhis in Jammu city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ceremony concluded with awards and recognitions. Vikramaditya Singh presented felicitations to Subash Chander and Ar Vishal Abrol for their exceptional contributions to the temple\u2019s restoration. Martand Singh and Ranvijay Singh also honored the students of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan for their participation and dedication to the sacred event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
